Holy Cow! Did you all see the moon last night!? I know that it was some kind of astronomy super moon, something about the moon was the closest it’s been to the Earth in 18 years. Also, a coworker was going on about something about the March of Ides. All Greek to me. I have never been into study of the stars and moon as it has always seemed so mysterious to me, and I prefer mystery. In fact, I took an astronomy course my sophomore year of college and pretty much bombed it because, no offense to anyone who loves this stuff, but [yawn], it just did not grab me. I’d rather have stars in my eyes than be a star-gazer and know about gases and cosmic matter and what-have-you.
The moon was so beautiful last night I grabbed my tripod and went outside to take some pictures. I came inside and checked them out and folks, They.Were.Horrible. Huh? I thought I did it right but nope. I WAY overexposed having completely under-estimated how bright the moon actually is. Google to the rescue “How to photograph the moon”. Yes, that’s how I roll. No such thing as keyword searches for me. I just go straight for the exact question I have. And whaddya know? I read a 10 sentence paragraph, went outside, and BAM! I got my shot of the moon.
