Photo blog day 338, July 26, 2011

Last year right about this time I went for a walk with my family down to the brook and came across these unearthly looking mushrooms. I posted a shot I took last year of them on day 87 but thought I would see if I could do a better job this year. The mushrooms are only there for about a week so when we headed down and saw them this year I was happy we had timed it right. This time I brought my rented Canon 100 mm 2.8 IS lens looking to get a real close up shot of the shrooms. I poked around on the internet trying to find what kind of mushrooms these are and weather they are poisonous. I didn’t confirm anything but I figure anything that color orange is a warning sign and to stay away!
