Oh. My. Gosh. I couldn’t wait. I seriously think I was more excited than my 4 year old for the release of the new Cars movie. I can’t explain why, I just was. So yesterday when my friend asked if I thought I would be able to take my son today I hesitated to say no. I wasn’t sure how the day after my daughter’s party would be so we decided to play it by ear. Well, needless to say everything was fine so off we went. I actually didn’t know they were playing it in 3D (I live under a rock sometimes, just sayin’) so when I found that out we decided to give it a shot. Here’s the thing. I have never seen a 3D movie before. The closest I came was an interactive type ride at Universal Studios when I was 19 or 20 and I proceeded to lose my lunch promptly after leaving the ride. So I wasn’t sure how it would go. Dude, it was way cool. I think watching movies in 3D is still going to be something I work on slowly [meaning I’m not going to run and see every single one offered] but it was pretty cool watching Lightening and Mater drive at me off the screen!!

Now that this week is over I should be able to get back to some regular photography and not so much personal stuff:) Hope everyone had a great weekend!

  1. I’ve read some really lacklustre reviews. Of course, those same reviews said Cars is the worst of all the Pixar movies. In our house, Cars ranks pretty close to the top of the list. What did you think of the sequel?

    • I loved the sequel. Although it focuses more on Mater than Lightening so don’t go to see it expecting a lot of McQueen. It is hilarious and they did a good job of incorporating 99% of the original characters. Bottom line is if the kids love it, who cares what the critics think? Do you think a bunch of four year old kids are sitting around dissecting the movie? No, there is action, color, and humor and that is more than enough for me!
