Photo blog day 299, June 13, 2011

I had a chance to have lunch with a friend today so when I saw that today was supposed to be the nicest day of the week I suggested grabbing some sandwiches and eating outside. We met at the Quandrangle and enjoyed the fresh air and good company. Thanks Kevin for a nice afternoon and the chance to vent all my current frustrations:)

I noticed this hydrangea bush showing its colors of summer. I love hydrangeas, they’re so fresh and light. I didn’t do much to this photo. I shot the flower using the bush as the background and exposed for the bright flower. Doing this allows me to slide the “blacks” slider over to create a black “backdrop”. I bumped the saturation a bit to bring out the blue of the flower.

  1. Lovely shot of Hydrangea. I think the black background has worked nicely in this shot.
