If you are from around here and know Holyoke, MA you’ll know that there is a juxtapostion  between the city’s wealthy past and its current state. I’m not trying to trash talk the city, I love it there. And I’m sure there was some seedy areas in Holyoke during its heyday given that it was a city of industry. Since then, the city has been developed within an inch of its life. There are small parks cropping up here and there but there are very few places where you can sit and say, “wow.”  I was in such a place today at Heritage State Park. It was such a beautiful day and we weren’t exactly in a hurry to get back to our car. The trees are in bloom, the sky was a perfect blue with just wisps of clouds skimming the tree tops. I saw this steeple surround by the trees and said “wow”. I googled the building to find out what church it is and it turns out it is not a church, it is the Holyoke Clerks office. I spent a few minutes trying to find out the history of the building but didn’t have much luck. Maybe another day.

I used a really cool Lightroom preset that takes a single image and processes it to look like an HDR photo. I haven’t spent much time on HDR photos but it usually takes a little bit of work and I’m not always happy with the outcome. For a shortcut I think this one is pretty cool.
