It’s happening again. My tendency to  hurry-up-and-live. I don’t do it on purpose, I promise. I just always find that I am not taking the time to enjoy my life as it is. I am always looking to what is next. Planning. Re-planning. And always, always over thinking. I wish I had a pause button for life. Or at least a slow-frame button. Like in that movie “Click” with Adam Sandler. Except I don’t want to fast forward through things. I want to rewind, re-do, and slow down. Today I stopped to appreciate the dandelions that have passed the flower stage. And to remember how fun it was to lie in the grass and blow the puffs up into the sky, making wishes and reaching for dreams.

I need to print this quote and tape it on every possible surface:

A broad margin of leisure is as beautiful in a man’s life as in a book. Haste makes waste, no less in life than in housekeeping. Keep the time, observe the hours of the universe, not of the cars.
~Henry David Thoreau~

  1. Nice shot Jess! I like the different perspective you’ve used. The composition is great with the stem leading up to the flower, the silhouette, the backlighting. It’s all really nice.
