Photo blog day 225, March 26, 2011

It’s colder than it looks outside. That’s all I’m saying about the weather. If I say more I could wind up writing expletives that may damage your corneas [suffice it to say that it is 27 degrees right now but feels like 17 with the wind]. In any event the sun is shining and it looked like a nice day for a walk to scout out some blog-worthy shots. We only made it as far as the next house on the street where my husband’s family have resided for 80 or 90 years. This is my husband’s uncle’s horse, Sundance. Sundance is shy and a bit weary. We attempted to lure him over with fresh apples but he wasn’t having any of it. He just wanted to go about his leisurely day so I snapped a few shots and hightailed back into the warmth of my house.

  1. What a beautiful shot. I really like how the light reflects off of his mane and tail.

  2. Lovely shot, enhanced as always by your comments.
