Photo blog day fifty nine, October 11, 2010

Sometimes things just happen that are so perfect you could never possibly plan them.  Today is Columbus Day and I’m home with the kids since work, daycare, and preschool are all closed today.  It’s a BEAUTIFUL day, blue skies, light breeze, and warm sun.  The kind of day that makes it hard to believe that in as little as 6 weeks we could quite possibly have snow on the ground.  Or that Christmas is only a little over 2 months away!  [WHAT?!  How could that be!?]  Sorry, I went off track there.  So because the weather was so nice I was out on the deck with the kids taking advantage of a free day with no plans.  I was looking around the freshly mowed lawn (thanks to my wonderful husband) and spotted a few of these flowers fighting for their last few days.  I cut them and put them in a bottle and as I was doing so I said “Boy wouldn’t these make a pretty blog picture?”  I brought them back into the sunshine and as soon as I put the camera to my eye this Bumble Bee landed on the flowers.  Guess I wasn’t the only one trying to steal a few more minutes of summer.
