Photo blog day fifty eight, October 10, 2010

Twinkle, twinkle little star.

There is nothing more breathtaking than the starry sky in the country.  Growing up in Springfield I wasn’t afforded this view very often but it doesn’t escape me now.  I was putting the chickens in the coop tonight (yes, we have chickens) and looked up as I walked back into the house and was blown away by how clear the night was and knew I had to get the camera out there.

  1. Lovely! To capture the stars -and a planet? – like you did is a testament to your eye, skill, and a great camera lense! And you have chickens? Are they for eggs or – GULP – chicken dinner????

  2. There’s a planet in that photo? I hadn’t realized. A photog friend pointed out Jupiter to me tonight and that was really cool!
The chickens are for eggs and to keep the bugs at bay. Don’t worry, we get our dinner from the grocery store:)
